The Drive to Recover Ocean Plastic is one of the flagship projects of PlanatEarth that aims at recovering plastic that has reached or will reach the ocean. This Drive ropes in the support and participation of the fishing boats of Harbours like Munambam and gets them to bring back the plastic packaging of the supplies that they take with them on a fishing expedition as well as plastic that gets caught in their nets including abandoned fishing gear. This project is wholly funded by the HCL Foundation. Coastal villages are also covered under this project for plastic waste in coastal villages that is not managed eventually ends up in the ocean.
